About Us

Our mission at Dolyna Ukrainian Cultural Society in Kelowna, BC is to preserve and celebrate the rich Ukrainian heritage through dance and cultural education. We strive to provide high-quality dance and culture classes that inspire and educate our community about the traditions, customs, and values of Ukraine. Our goal is to foster a sense of belonging and pride among our members and to promote cultural understanding and appreciation. Through our programs and events, we aim to create a vibrant and inclusive community that honours and celebrates Ukrainian culture.

Ally Gallant 

Ally began dancing in 2006 and quickly realized her passion for Ukrainian dance and culture. Ally has been dancing with Dolyna for the past 10 years, and has been instructing with Dolyna for the past 5. Her favourite part of teaching is being able to create visually satisfying choreography, and getting to watch her dancers perform on stage.

Cassidy Lamb 

Cassidy began her career as a dance in 2007. She started dance in Regina Saskatchewan, but moved to Kelowna for school in September of 2021. In 2021 she worked as an assistant instructor and in 2022 was put in charge of her very own class. Cassidy's favourite part of dancing is inspiring others to push themselves to be the best dancer they can be.

Sophie Gramiak 

Sophie spent most of her childhood in ballet class! In 2020 Sophie took a chance, joined Ukrainian dance and fell in love! Now she spends most of her time using her ballet skills to improve the technique of Dolyna Dancers, big and small.
